Independence Day

I celebrated Independence Day (Fourth of July) over the weekend, in tribute to all my American friends on the other side of the globe. It almost felt unfair that I was able to celebrate it before they could, seeing as Australia is one day ahead of America! My friends and I cooked up hotdogs, BBQ pulled pork, and even splashed out on some American mild mustard sauce. I’m definitely missing Fredonia/ Buffalo food, and my next challenge is to master Chicken Wing Dip for the AFL Grand Final this year (it’s no Superbowl – but it’s not too bad).

The next day my snapchat feed was flooded with firework videos and footage of Fourth of July American parties, which I wish I could’ve been apart of!

Wishing everyone back in The States a happy (belated) Fourth of July, and hope my attempt at celebrating your Independence Day did y’all proud!
