Breakfast at Times Square

So it’s my first time visiting New York City and one of the first things I simply had to try was a classic New York soft pretzel! For just $3 from a Time Square street cart, it was the size of my head and pretty tasty!

The street cart food has actually surprised me! I’m not usually one to order a kebab in Mooloolaba at 2am, but after a long day of shopping in SoHo a NYC hotdog for dinner sounded very appealing! It was fresh and delicious with just one problem… there wasn’t enough of it! I was expecting a supersized hotdog; instead it was smaller than the ones back home.

Aside from the street carts featured on every block, if you’re searching for a mouth-watering soft pretzel there is a renowned company called ‘Sigmund’s’ in NYC who specialises in freshly baked pretzels. I’m hoping to give Sigmund’s a visit during my stay here to sample more delicious pretzels!

I’ll keep you posted over the next week with more of my NYC adventures and discoveries!
