But baby it’s cold outside…

In the spirit of Fashion Week in New York City, I’ve decided to revolve this week’s theme around fashion. Just because the weather in Fredonia, New York is averaging negative ten degrees Celsius, doesn’t mean students’ style has to suffer.

I’m excited to be experiencing a white winter in New York, giving me a reason to wear oversized coats, woolen knits and layering my outfits with scarves. Last year in Australia I remember going to the beach with my sister during our winter. It wasn’t the warmest day for the beach, but it certainly doesn’t get cold enough on the Sunshine Coast for layers upon layers of beautiful jumpers and coats.

The below picture features my current favourite winter essentials. I am loving oversized cable-knit jumpers right now, especially in these neutral tones. The Glasshouse Fragrances candle is Vanilla Caramel scented and makes my room feel warm and cosy!

Below are links to my two favourite fashion bloggers; Nicole Warne, an Australian blogger and creator of ‘Gary Pepper’, and Aimee Song, a fashion blogger and interior designer from L.A who is also known as ‘Song of Style’. They each have a very unique sense of style, and it’s interesting to notice the small differences between Australian and American fashion.

Both style icons in the world of social media, these two impeccably dressed and talented women are both in NYC for Fashion Week and continue to inspire me with their elegant winter outfits.

Look out for more posts this week featuring student street style, and the American take on Uggs.
